The Skeletons of Wicked Woods Cemetery (Countdown to Halloween Day 14)

We have over a dozen skeletons mostly outside. Today I will focus on introducing you to the ones who dwell outside for the entire month of october. The ones that make their home inside Meade Manor we will save for another day.

M was never happy with last years skeles just "hanging" on the banisters so this year she wanted to crank it up a notch. I have always wanted to have my very own skeletal army and I am getting close. 

"Friendly Femerson" He looks nice, but it's just a trap to get you to come closer. He is the "door greeter" to the cemetery.

This lurking feller is "Skulking Skully".

He likes to hide in the bushes and listen into conversations.

Of course this is the Mourning Myrtle. She just can't let go of the past.

This is Kay Ropractor. She has back problems but really wants up on the balcony

This is Kal Ciam he is gonna just pull himself up on that balcony 

This is Bone Voyage....not sure if he is just jumping off or just aiming to land on a neighbor's kid.

Meet Beebee Q. McRibb. She must see a friend or she is just showing off she made it to the Balcony. 

This seemingly limber guy is Skele Tore....pretty she he is going to feel that in the morning.

This is the "Bone Bomber"....he just looks like a guy would would photo bomb a wedding picture. 

Just like he is photo bombing this ghostly couple....we will visit the ghost on another post.

Bone Apatite...he is falling off himself in the fountain.

Last but not least here is Dirt Napper. He is half the man he used to be.

I almost forgot the most important skele of all... Holo Grimm!

I just happened to notice that the balcony banister was covered with real spiderwebs.

The Season Swap that almost wasn't

I took a 4 day weekend to take care of our season swap. Where I mow the yard one last time for the year, put up the summer stuff, and officially decorate for Halloween outside our house. This year, it rained almost every day, but I managed to get in and out and get it done...just not as fast or thorough as I would have liked. I usually get everything out and lighting done in one day..this time it took three.

Before you say something, he did not lose a shoe....he found one!

I used mocha coffe to stain the shirt...every time you get near him he smells like baking cookies now!

At the time of these pictures we were about 20% into it and we were enjoying the sweet sounds of bagpipes marching by as our town celebrate a Celtic Festival just a block over.....much more to come!

New Recruits....a bit skinny, but dirt cheap!

Lucked up and got these two at CVS. They were advertised at 50% off but rang up 75% off! My dream of a skeltal army is getting closer!

These two boneheads are snuggled up with the old guard in the attic, waiting for next year.

Anybody else lucking up on deals?

Breakfast of Halloween Champions

Tomorrow marks the start of the Countdown To Halloween! I am going to try to hold down a full time 55+hours a week job, decorate the house for Halloween, finish upteen hundred projects, plan and throw the biggest Halloween party yet, AND post something interesting every day in October till the big day! For this, I need THE BREAKFAST OF HALLOWEEN CHAMPIONS!

This is not my actual breakfast, this was from this past Saturday. M made me a huge breakfast to start Halloween Decorating off right. Not sure if even M's breakfast will get me through this in one piece!

On a side note, an unhealthy friendship has developed between by dapper posable skeleton and Gizmo.

I had originally bought the skele to stand out in the grave yard, but I have not had the heart to move him since Gizmo likes him so much. He actually spends a great amount of time putting his head under the skeles hands and forcing him to scratch his head.

Not sure he will like the idea of his buddy standing outside in the rain......

For Halloween.....

The Wicked Woods picked up another creepy old relic this past weekend.

I'm talking about the one on the right! The other relic is my mother!!!

Walgreens had one posable Skeleton (much like the Costco ones). It has always been my intention to get a small army of skeles over a few Halloween seasons. This will be our 6th addition and I hope to add one more next weekend as we head back to different Walgreens locations.
