Wicked Wares - First Haunt gear for the 2016 year

Near the ass end of August, all the stores add Halloween to their exhaustive line up of christmas that has been out since June...and I love it!

While M and I have not been out on a full Halloween buying spree (we plan on going next weekend) I have been gearing up with some awesome deals already!

First great deal was from the Dollar Tree. We found plastic skeleton hand servers. I bought a pair of these from Target 3 years ago and spent 30 bucks on them. Of course they were metal, but these plastic ones are great too! WE got 4 more and they are awesome for dipping in, gripping and serving chips of any kind. Price $1.00 each.

Next up is an even more upgrades to the lighting system. I got 3 new Blue LED flood lights and 2 more green to replace some of the florescent I was forced to use last year.  5 pack bulk rate price $28.99 shipping and handling from EBAY!

I had planned on adding at least one more AtmosFX digital window to the house this year so I jumped at the chance to get a 7000 lumen hd LED projector for the job. $71.88 free shipping Ebay.

I found a great clearance deal for a king of cheesey prop. Found this 6' static Zombie girl on clearance at Party City for 25 bucks. This props is nothing more than a 6' metal pole with a christmas tree 4 leg stand and wire arms attached to a creepy head and hands with a moldy looking dress thrown over it. M can use chicken wire to build her out a bust and body and we can fill the arms out with pool noodles. Paint her up a bit more realistic and throw a tattered dress from good will on her and she is awesome! She is $100.77 with shipping and handling from Spirit and Halloween Express both. I paid $25 flat and I found a free shipping and handling coupon to boot!

The biggest purchase (thus far) is the Haunted Shovel from Spirit Halloween.

I was not planning on using it alone as that seems kind of cheesy...A haunted shovel....I am going to put it in the hand of this static prop thus making him ALIVE!

I will just replace his old antique (real) shovel with the haunted one! Of course I will have to move him closer to the front porch near the cemetery sign and coffins for maximum effect. I also got this at a pretty good deal. I had a 25% off coupon for any 1 animitronic prop and a had a free shipping voucher from last year in the mail. my price was $74.99 flat.

Anybody else getting in good deals or secret coupons they want to talk about?

Those who watch over the graves in the daylight (Countdown to Halloween Day 18)

What a weekend! Working on compiling pictures and videos from doing a full Haunt Walkthrough and will be posting the results later on this week. Until then, here are some of our props who entertain/guard the graves during daylight hours. Enjoy!

This tortured soul is trapped forever in my attic and it really bothers the neighbors kids next door as they can see him from their bedroom window. As usual the windghost has a 360' view of the property.

The grave digger keeps an eye out. At night, people talk to him thinking he is a real person...not sure why.

I almost did not put Grimmace the scarecrow out this year as he is almost rotted away. M said I just had to, so here he is, guarding our driveway.

The sillhouts do a good job keeping things in order during daylight hours.

We only run the projectors on weekends so we put this old creepy witch prop in to keep the neighbors on their toes. The cats love her for some reason as she watched over the side cemetery.

M was not thrilled about waking up to seeing her shadow the first morning I put her up.

Haunted House Tour...The Dinning room of the Damned (Countdown to Halloween Day 16)

M has a vision for the house at Halloween. She really wants it to look like an old haunted house and she loves the term "eerie elegance" when she decorates. This year, she did the dinning room all on her own. Here are the results.

The Ghosts of Wicked Woods Cemetery (Countdown to Halloween day 15)

Here are the ghosts that roam around the cemetery the entire month of October.

This old ghost is a costume back from 1995 that a friend left at my house from a Halloween party. She is a wind ghost that really takes off when it is stormy. Her name is Wendy Gale.

This is the second wind ghost. A skeletal spirit that flies around the pinnacle of Meade Manor. His name is Gonwith Dawind

This Grinning spectre is just something I threw together out of old part and a broken prop. His name is Mr. Muse.

This lovely couple is a new addition this year. Mr and Mrs Unlivingston.

This glowing appriotion likes to peek out of the window on the front porch. His name is Peeping Thomas.

Even though she is just a silhouette, I still think of her as a ghost. We call her Headless Hariot.

And last, but not least, our projector ghost in the main bedroom. we affectionately call her Holly Grahm.

The Skeletons of Wicked Woods Cemetery (Countdown to Halloween Day 14)

We have over a dozen skeletons mostly outside. Today I will focus on introducing you to the ones who dwell outside for the entire month of october. The ones that make their home inside Meade Manor we will save for another day.

M was never happy with last years skeles just "hanging" on the banisters so this year she wanted to crank it up a notch. I have always wanted to have my very own skeletal army and I am getting close.

"Friendly Femerson" He looks nice, but it's just a trap to get you to come closer. He is the "door greeter" to the cemetery.

This lurking feller is "Skulking Skully".

He likes to hide in the bushes and listen into conversations.

Of course this is the Mourning Myrtle. She just can't let go of the past.

This is Kay Ropractor. She has back problems but really wants up on the balcony

This is Kal Ciam he is gonna just pull himself up on that balcony

This is Bone Voyage....not sure if he is just jumping off or just aiming to land on a neighbor's kid.

Meet Beebee Q. McRibb. She must see a friend or she is just showing off she made it to the Balcony.

This seemingly limber guy is Skele Tore....pretty she he is going to feel that in the morning.

This is the "Bone Bomber"....he just looks like a guy would would photo bomb a wedding picture.

Just like he is photo bombing this ghostly couple....we will visit the ghost on another post.

Bone Apatite...he is falling off himself in the fountain.

Last but not least here is Dirt Napper. He is half the man he used to be.

I almost forgot the most important skele of all... Holo Grimm!
