Last Friday of October! {Countdown to Halloween Day 28}

I had taken off the rest of the week and most of next to prep for Halloween. Today I spent the majority of the day doing some deep cleaning of the basement and prepping party supplies. It has been a long day and there is another one looming tomorrow. I did take a few breaks today to grab some cool shots of the Black Light Ballroom and surrounding area.

But first...where do black cats take naps around Halloween?

Black-Light Ballroom,Bar, and Billiards. The Basement Level of Meade Manor {Countdown to Halloween Day 27}

I am worn out! We hit Walmart today to get supplies (two full buggies) for the weekend, including M's weight in Halloween candy (I kid you not). Since our annual Halloween party is this Saturday, I figured I would tailor the post more to highlight the basement level of Meade Manor which we affectionately referred to as the Black-light Ballroom, Bar and Billiards. We change the entire basement lighting out to black light. There is a raised dancing/game room complete with every kind of laser and disco light there is. We even have a mirror ball (Skull shaped of course!) . The pool table has been retrofitted to be UV reactive and our bar area is all UV reactive too. Here are some interesting shots of a some of the basement area thus far. Be warned, this is the area in the house we allow whimsy and ....*gasp* Glitter! Enjoy!

Haunted House Tour : Blacklight Basement (Countdown to Halloween Day 17)

Hope everybody is having a wicKED weeKEnD. There is a ton of stuff going on at Meade Manor this weekend. We are heading out to a HUGE craft festival just down the road. M is then going to do makeup for MECC Haunted Forest and then we are going to do a walkthrough video tonight! All this and we are officially 1 week away from the wicKED weeKEnD Halloween party! So much to do, it is not even funny.
We have made some stride on the interior decorations and are almost completely finished with the Blacklight Basement which includes the Glow in the Dark Billiards, Bar and Ball room. Here is a quick sneak peek with many more pics to come the closer we get to party time!
