I've never really watched the show, I tend to get impatient with the night-time soap format. I did read the comics, but I dropped out after a couple of volumes, I just didn't find any of the characters likable enough.
I mean, zombie movies has a very specific subtext: Conscientious individuals being consumed literally and metaphorically, by the unthinking mob of society. In order for that idea to work well, you've got to have really strong likable characters who exhibit traits that are admirable, like Ben or Tom in Night of the Living Dead, or Roger and Pete in Dawn, and I just didn't find that in Walking Dead.

Show might be better I suppose? I dunno.
