Old man winter thrusts us back into fall.

This is my Japanese Bloodmoon Maple last week.

Here it is today after we had some snow flurries.

Looks like fall of the year for one of my prized specimens.

Hopefully the warm weather will return and with it, bring fresh foliage.

    1. When you go from 85 degrees to 30 degrees... I can see where nature gets confused.

  2. That really sucks! Hope it does decide to come back - that was beautiful! The only weird thing I have in my yard is that my lilac budded, but they've never opened! usually they bloom the same time as my crabapple, so my yard smells amazing, but the crabapple is almost done now and still no lilacs!

    1. It should, and you lilac should bloom once it has a few weeks of warm weather.

  4. That just sucks! Such fragile beauty can't stand up to old man winter. I hope it recovers. You are not alone in your "crazy spring" it is 29C (85 F) here today, by Friday it will be 3C (37F), 48 degree difference!
But the day will come when Sweet Lady Spring squeezes the life out of Old Man Winter...can't wait.

    2. Japanese maples are so pretty. There were so many of them in Vancouver. Very silly idea, moving from there to the U.K.

Spring here in England has been mostly cold and wet. Nothing new about that, but it doesn't mean you enjoy it. Here's to the outlook improving on both sides of the Atlantic.
