Halloween by the light of day

I had to come to a hard decision last night. I had 2 videos this year, one day and one night. 2012 was the year that I went all out on a new camera, a new low lux video recorder, and put in a boat load on haunt lighting. Then it snowed and rained for almost a solid week. Halloween was almost ruined due to weather but gratefully, Mother Nature gave us a 5 hour window without precipitation before it started back up. Just long enough to scare TOTs but not for a really great night video. I was really unhappy with the night shots as rain droplets would hit the lens and cause it go out of focus and we were super rushed. Therefore I have decided to submit my Day Shot video/pictures for this years Home Haunters Video.

Videos must be submitted by January 31st so if you are planning on getting one in this year, time is running out! I highly encourage you to do so if you have any good videos!

I just can't shake the feeling it is somehow wrong to submit a daylight video of my haunt........

We are all now among the elite of the elite who can claim they survived the Mayan Apocalypse! 2012 was a whirlwind year to say the least. I just wanted to wish you all a happy, healthy, and haunted 2013! See you all next year!!!!!

Creepy Christmas Gifts

I got a few gifts that only a true Halloween head, like myself, would truly appreciate.

My dear cousin Tee got me this Marilyn Monroe Zombie statue...107 Year Itch!

M got me some Zombie slippers from Thinkgeek. They look like they are eating my feet when I wear them.

My most prized Christmas/Creepy gift is my new DSLR Camera (Nikon D3100). Thanks to M!

This was purchased with the sole purpose of documenting bigger and better Halloween shots. Now, if I can just learn to use it and get a few new lenses by Halloween.....

All the creatures were stirring and looking for a mouse.

 The kittens are having their first Christmas and they are as excited as any kid I have ever seen. Even our older cats get way into Christmas....must be a cat thing. Hope you all are having the best Christmas yet...I know we are!

Creepy Christmas Cookies

We recently celebrated a very old tradition at the Wicked Woods....COOKIE NIGHT. My family has gotten together right before Christmas for as long as I can recall and made huge batches of cookies and fudge for friends and family. We had a few creepy cookies such as a ginger poop and a few anatomically correct cookies (if you catch my meaning).

Looks like one of the gingerbread men had a accident.

Who doesn't enjoy eating little snowmen who are in pain and anguish over meeting an untimely demise in an oven? I hear their tears taste like peppermint.. mmmmm!

At first I thought these were turds on a stick... then I saw they were rats...with sticks stuffed in there butts.

Nothing says the Holidays like Santa cookies.... especially when somebody has surgically removed his head and limbs... Mmmmmm decapitation is a wonderful flavor. 

This was either an attempt to male Christmas wreaths or somebody stumbled upon Oscar the Grouch's litter pan.
