wicKED moves.

Our third truckload of wickedness.....only about 4 more to go before Halloween is completely moved into the new Meade Manor!
I really hate when people stare at me...it's like they have never seen anybody move before? SHEESH!

Why are people honking? I am just trying to move to my new home! Stop screaming "Axe Murderer" and "Killer" while I'm driving...it is very annoying!

Jason finally get to check out the new digs.

On a side note, they are filming the movie again right in the middle of town, which is right in front of my house...I had to drive a complete lap around my house to get in and then they had EVERY road to my house blocked off. So I got out and moved a cone to sneak in. A cop pulled me over and asked what I was doing. Thankfully I was just carrying furniture that load....a load full of chainsaws, coffins and body parts would have been hard to explain. I simply told him that I was moving and my house was blocked off so I had to move the cone to get in. He replies "Do you have to do it today?"

To which I replied "I have to do it whenever I fricken want to because it's my house an I have a right to get to it."

His reply was, "Fair enough".

The movie is great and all...but come on, give me a way to get in my house!

Move moving today, hope to be done with Halloween and get it all safe and sound in it's new attic so we can move the rest of our stuff!

How does one move a Wicked Woods?

Very carefully of course!

Yesterday, we took down every single thing Wicked in our yard for the last time and moved it over to the new house.

There is nothing left to even give an indication that there was something haunted going on except for a pile of ice from the fogger and a coffin shaped imprint in the front lawn.

I did get a few looks driving through town with a truck load of coffins and bodies with a giant jack o in the front seat.

I'm just glad our new neighbors did not call the police on us for putting coffins in our new storage shed....although it sounds like a good start to a movie.

We were rewarded with a great view at sunset....Which is just confirmation that we made the right move!

More moving today! (and what feels like the rest of my life!)

The Last Halloween Night (In this Neck of the Wicked Woods)

We had the threat of thunderstorms all day and night. Thankfully it held off till after TOTs came, but the damage was done. We did not populate the graveyard and only ran at about 50% capacity. With the major move looming, I wanted to keep the number of damp props to a minimal. We did haunt the heck out of the covered front porch. The weather threats also seriously cut into our TOT numbers. Hardly any that had ran through the cemetery showed this time, but those that did got to spend extra time appreciating the haunt. I did not go with my Zombie makeup for fear of rain turning me into a muddy face drag queen. I went as a Scarecrow which worked out well. Misdirection and a terribly fake "stuffed" pose by me got quite a few scares (more from the adults). It will be weeks before I have the time to sit down and compile video, but I do have some highlights of the nights events.

There was not enough candy in the world to make go up on that porch when I was a kid.

My Spirit Halloween Damien. We got him on clearance and they shipped him busted all to heck. Spirit refused to help (there customer service is stationed in Hell) so I modified him into a shacking, growling zombie...took forever but it worked out well.

All of the animtronics in the chairs distracted people from the "obviously stuffed" Scarecrow. Everybody was so sure that Mike Myers was a real person in the dark. That helped the "obviously stuffed" Scarecrow make them pee their pants.

My Goddaughter. She has the haunter's spirit but she is girly too. So we had a little punk skeleton running around for awhile.

Mom's not dead....she just smells that way.

We can chalk another one up as fun and done. While waiting on TOTs last night, I could not help but think about the massive planning for next year! New location, HUGE areas to haunt....I can't wait.

My posts my come less frequently for a bit, but I will still post year round and take part in blog events (most notably the upcoming Creepmas! I hope those that are new to the blog will follow, and keep up with my adventures....The possibilities are endless!

HOPE YOUR HALLOWEEN WAS wicKED!

Happy (hopefully dry) Halloween from Something wicKED this way comes...

Unfortunately, it looks like rain off and on all day and 100% chance tonight with severe thunderstorms and winds!

Wicked Woods will be running a minimal haunt tonight with none of the animated props due to possibly damaging them. I had hoped our last Halloween in this neck of the Woods would go out with a bang, but maybe if I underwhelm this year, it will seem SO much bigger next!

Thanks for following our wicKED adventures year round. I hope you will continue to stop by and see how things develop in the new haunt!

Since today is going to rain me out, for the most part, enjoy this rainy Halloween tribute!
