The Zombie Apocalypse arrived in the middle of the weekend!

Yesterday was turning out to be a great day. It was beautiful out and we drove around for hours taking pictures of Halloween decorations and the fall foliage. I will be posting those pictures Monday. We had an awesome lunch and after that, stuffed treat bags for out TOTs. This year I put a little piece of paper in each bag detailing the name of my yard haunt and my blog web site where the parents can go and look at the decorations in detail (shameless plug). Here it is :

   Everything was going smoothly.......

   Then the Zombie Apocalypse hit!

I know I took the easy way out on these guys.

I just did not have time to corpse them properly. I will have to do them up right next year.

They are after our treats! DAMN ZOMBIES!
Miranda practiced her makeup techniques on her sucker... I mean friend.

I was impressed what she should could do with tissue paper and glue.
Then we tried out our UV Reactive Zombie contacts.
She looks wicKED...but there is something behind her!
Zombie Teacher!

The camera did not capture the glow very well.
I had to get closer for the camera to pick up the eyes in the black light.

It was the perfect week before Halloween weeKEnD. Pizza, Zombies, and scary movies...what could be better? Only one thing!

  2. I demand a tutorial on the tissue paper and glue! When working on a look that required a lack of eyebrows, I found glue sticks to be awesome for covering my natural brows. Then I started using that for zombie skin as well, since it peels off nicely. Now TEACH ME THE TISSUE PAPER TECHNIQUE! Preferably in the next 3 days, hint hint.

Oh, and we don't eat the cat's brains around here. We eat his feet. We call them fish sticks. Nom Nom Nom.

    I really love your blog.

  3. NO! Not Lilly! I was just getting attached to that cat! I love the contacts - very spooky. Contacts are the freakiest. I need to understand people's emotions by looking in their eyes. These contacts disrupt that! That picture of your eyes glowing in the dark is beyond scary.

Tell Miranda that she did an awesome job on that zombie hand! Tissue paper and glue ~ Who would think?

  4. Lisa - Lilly is the most accomodating cat I have ever seen. She is ready for anything. She get her brains nomed often too.

Pensive - LOL fish sticks. I already asked Miranda if she would do a step by step for the post on Tuesday so stay tuned!

Justine - Thanks for the eye comment. That was the desired effect. They glow much bright to the naked eye. The cam doesn't do them justice. Lilly's brains will grow back no worries.
I will tell Miranda. She is proud of her makeup skills.

  6. Glad you guys had a great weekend, wish I could say the same. Lily is very photo-savy isn't she? Every time I try to snap a pic of my Sox he turns his rear end up for me to snap.
