A perfectly wicKED weeKEnD.

So far, this weeKEnD has been perfect. We went to a football game last night and froze our butts off as we cheered for Miranda's cousin, #52 Bacon! We even managed to squeeze in a Walmart trip (blarg) where we did some Halloween shopping :

It's for Halloween I tell you!

It was at the hell I call Walmart I found these little gems :

I had seen so many fellow bloggers post about them, I had to try them. Trust me when I tell you they are terrific. I am going to put them in my pumpkin spice coffee.

Miranda got a free (yes FREE) Halloween fun prop in the mail from ThinkGeek.com :

Since we are doing zombie costumes this year, it would be a perfect coffee table book to lay out during the party. This is a complete year book of a Zombie High school. I highly recommend it for any zombie or whimsical Halloween collector.

Today, we are going to go out and take some pictures of local houses that have decorated as well as some good fall foliage. Then it's back to the house to complete two zombies we have been working on, stuffing treat bags, practicing zombie makeup, and watching some scary movies on the ALTER OF THE DAMNED! (that's what I call the TV since we decorated around it) :

Today/tonight's activites will most likely appear as a post for tomorrow. Hope we get some good pictures of everything.

I will end this post  with some pictures of our little monster, Lilly (by request).

Miranda was trying on costumes and dropped her corsett in the floor. Lilly climbed in and even smiled for the camera.

Lilly drags the dismembered props around her bed. This picture looks gruesome. I never met a cat that sleeps on it's back.

She is good at sleeping on her front too. She is an expert cat napper.
As I was writing this post, I noticed she was conked out on the couch. She honestly loves Halloween stuff.

Hope everybody is having a perfectly wicKED weeKEnD!

  1. How funny...we had to go to Wal-Mart Hell today also....Curses! And I got a bag of the pumpkin spice marshmallows too. And I said the same exact thing..."Ooh, these will taste good in my pumpkin spice coffee or hot chocolate! Yummers!

I loathe Wal-Mart...I honestly do, BUT I did find the coolest pumpkin there today. It was tall and skinny which is my favorite pumpkin type, but better still...it was orange with big green warts all over it! So that was 2 fab finds from that pestilent snake pit! I swear, I feel like I need a shower when I leave that place...ICK!

Also, love the photos of Lilly, especially that one where she is curled up in her shirt...too cute! And...she matches her bed really nicely...ha! Hope you guys are having fun watching scary movies. We are cleaning up for some pumpkin carving tomorrow! Keeping things small this year because we've been going non-stop since Sept. and are 'bout worn out! :o)

  2. Hey Wendy. I used to like Walmart till it became the center of all existence for all us zombies.

Good find on the warty pumpkin. Those are in this year for sure.

We got tons of Halloween stuff done today, but now we are watching scary movies and Miranda is practicing her zombie makeup techniques on her friend. Lilly has a red nose... wonder why?

I think we will put knife to gourd tomorrow as well. You will have to post pics!

  3. Sounds like you did have a perfect weekend. i was just at Walmart and didn't see those marshmallows. Hope they are still there when I go next time.

I love the Zombie yearbook. My girls would get a kick out of that.

Lily is just to cute. She steals the show. Give her another rub for me.

  4. Cute pictures! Have you all tried the Pumpkin flavored pop-tarts? They are pretty decent.

  6. Vivienne - I hope you find them! I am still looking through that yearbook. It is great. I will see that Lilly gets a rub from you ;)

BeWitchy - I LOVE the pop-tarts... They are so had to find around here. Usually Target has them, but they failed me this year.

Lisa - The yearbook was free with Geekpoints. You should grab it! Lilly marches to the beat of her own drum for sure.
