This is the un-creepiest thing I have created all year.
Took 10 hot glue sticks, a Styrofoam cone, and 3.5 bags of peppermints to make this. I wish I had lined them up better but it was a good first run. Next year I am going to make a green one. Hope everybody is having as great a holiday as we are!
Our tree skirt runeth over with loot! |
Archie hides among the present in hope that Lilly will not find him. |
Lilly keeps plotting to take over the world while she systematically searches ever present for the hidden Archie! |
Wow, look at all those presents! Better watch out cause they are awfully close to the fire, don't want things melting;) Love the expression on Archie's face, wonder what he's thinking.
ReplyDeleteYour peppermint tree is adorable! It already is Christmas Eve here so I'll wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas!!
ReplyDeletehave a wonderful holiday--looks like you're gonna' with all those presents under the tree. hope archie and lilly get lots of loot as well!
ReplyDeletelove the peppermint tree! give the cats a Christmas rub for me.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, V.
Even genius needs a break from "creepy stuff" every so often.
ReplyDeleteLove the tree and wishing you and yours a great and safe holiday season!
Merry Christmas to you all!
ReplyDeleteI could just see my dog getting hold of that tree & licking it to nothing. On the plus side - fresh doggie breath!
Funny story for you, just to illustrate how alike we are:
ReplyDeleteI made a candy wreath one year and attempted to keep it because I loved it so much. The cat kept trying to get into the attic and I had no idea why- the candy attracted mice. Nothing quite as gross as mostly eaten candy surrounded by poop.
May your Christmas be better than that. ; )
Good job on the Peppermint tree! Just don't let your cats get near it. I imagine that could cause trouble, although I'm not a cat owner. Maybe they aren't even into Peppermints!
ReplyDeleteYour presents look nice around the tree. I'm like you, in that I like to have all the packages wrapped and displayed before Christmas. It's nice to be able to sit and enjoy them for a while. Merry Christmas to you! :)
